PIE REPUBLIC

Some damn good Pie!!! This great little cafe restaurant offers some really great savory and sweet pies that you would want to miss when in Tashkent!

Pie Republic is a small restaurant not far from Temur Square on busy street full of restaurants from pizzerias, Pakistani restaurants, ice cream cafes and Russia family style eateries. Like, all the restaurants on this street, Pie Republic is set back off the street, so it's not too noisy!

With both indoor and out, this are great any weather. I've been here twice now, and walked past it many times and it's always pretty busy (not too busy to not get a seat, but busy.)

Pie Republic serve a great selections of both sweet and savory pie dishes, and if pies not your thing, there's also really tasty pizza, pasta, chicken dishes and all day breakfast options too.

They offer a pretty good drinks menu with a selection of teas and coffees. I tried the classic lemonade which was quiet bitter but from me it was really good! I didn't order one but they're milkshakes also look really good, and maybe worth a try.

Caesar Salad and Classic Lemonade

I was there for dinner so ordered a few dishes, between 2 we had the caesar salad, the Meat'n'Pie and the meat pizza. I had been there before and ordered the meat & potato pie and the chicken quiche which were both very good, really flavorsome and pretty similar to pies in the UK (which in Asia is not that easy to do.)

For dessert, the menu has a selection of different, pies, cakes, cheesecakes and other sweet pastries, but not all their desserts are on the menu so its best to get up and have a look.

The time I was there, they had several different types of pie, cookies, sugar biscuits and jars of cheesecake.

For me, I choose the blackberry pie, which was more like like a blackberry cheesecake with a sweet pasty on top - which I was definitely not complaining about as it was delicious!! The positions they give you are really generous, so you could share between 2........or just eat it all!!!

For me, Pie Republic is a great restaurant for anytime of the day, it serves great food for breakfast, lunch or dinner and has even better dessert options. I think it has something for everyone. Pie Republic is a place I will definitely return too.
